Let’s be honest. Lashes easily make or break a look. No matter if you are doing a “no-makeup makeup look” or a full beat, mascara is almost always necessary. It can make you look more awake, help blend your real lashes into your falsies, and even double as an eyeliner. No wonder so many people swear that if they only had time to apply one makeup product before leaving the house it would be mascara! With so many mascaras on the market today with such high claims, it can get overwhelming and expensive trying to find the one that works best for you. That’s why I am sharing my holy grail drugstore mascara combination that hopefully will become your holy grail too!
L’Oréal Voluminous Primer
Yes, primer is NOT just for you face ladies and gents. Using a primer under your mascara not only preps your lashes, but also immediately thickens, lengthens, and separates the lashes. No need to worry about the white formula because it is easily covered by the tinted lengthening mascara you apply next.
L’Oréal Telescopic
I like to use the this mascara primarily for elongating my overall lash-line and specifically for my bottom lashes. The thin wand and small bristles make it easier to get to those hard to reach lashes and make them pop sans clumps!
Maybelline Lash Sensational Full Fan Effect
I like to finish off with a volumizing formula to add thickness. I’ll also use the comb-like side of the wand on the tips of my lashes to get more length and volume.
Of course not all 3 of these products are necessary on an everyday basis. Each can either be used alone or with other products, depending on the look you’re going for. Personally, when I am in a rush I always reach for the Maybelline Lash Sensational because the formula is not only volumizing, but also lengthening and the wand separates lashes nicely.
