Anonymous Drop Cap 1t seems like once December begins to approach, a lot of my responsibilities and self-care get put on the back burner. Laundry slowly starts to pile up, at-home mani-pedis become a foreign concept, and my eyebrows start begging me to get threaded. As final exams transform from distant dates to quickly approaching realities I know I am not alone when I say I feel like I start to lose hours in the day. It seems like you have less and less time to complete all your assignments and absolutely no time to tend to your skin. Your top priorities become meeting deadlines, putting extra hours in at Van Pelt, and finding some way to fit sleep into your already overcrowded schedule. These last few weeks of the semester are definitely some of the most stressful and probably one of the most troublesome times for your skin. In preparation for this finals season, below is a skincare survival guide to keep your skin blemish-free and balanced for the holidays.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

This product never fails. Anytime I notice a random breakout or pimple this drying lotion usually clears it up within one use. I put one dot over my trouble areas before bed, and wake up to them either completely gone or significantly diminished.

LUSH Dark Angels Cleanser

This cleanser doubles as an exfoliant and the charcoal and black sugar ingredients absorb any excess oil that could clog your pores and leaves your skin feeling smooth and matte. The formula does take some time to get used to, but after a few uses it is not an issue.

Yes to Tomatoes Daily Balancing Moisturizer

When I was suffering from a breakout, I used to avoid  moisturizing products at all costs, but this is the last thing you want to do, especially during the drying cold season. This moisturizer was gentle on my sensitive-skin and left my face feeling balanced and hydrated, without being greasy and adding to my current breakouts.

GLAMGLOW Supermud Clearing Treatment

I know finding time to do a face mask during finals season can be a challenge, but if you feel like your entire face needs a deep cleaning, this mask can do just that. This mask only takes 5-20 minutes and removes the dirt and oil that causes breakouts.

LUSH Tea Tree Water

I like to use this toner in the morning and before bed to make my skin feel balanced and fresh, and the tea tree ingredient helps control oil. It is also alcohol-free, so your skin will not feel tight and dry.
