letter With the holiday season approaching, I am more than ready to finally indulge, guilt-free, in the plethora of drama-filled, Thanksgiving-themed episodes decades of television has to offer. Riding the wave of early-2000s nostalgia flooding pop culture this year (the Gilmore Girls revival, an upcoming Broadway adaptation of Mean Girls, the comeback of velour, canadian tuxedos, and street/sportswear staples Esprit and FILA…the list goes on), I present to you my favorite Thanksgiving episodes from some 2000s-era TV classics. If the laughs and drama alone don’t satisfy your pre-holiday appetite, the sartorial inspiration just might!

1) “Blair Waldorf Must Pie!” from Season 1 of Gossip Girl, the pinnacle of CW drama.

I miss the headband. And Harold Waldorf, TV’s best-dressed dad:

Season 2 also also had no shortage of Thanksgiving style. See: Blair’s blouse! Cyrus’ fair isle sweater!

2) “A Deep-Fried Korean Thanksgiving” from Season 3 of Gilmore Girls.

 This screams “Thanksgiving.”

3) Basically all the Thanksgiving episodes from Friends are worth a watch. Most notably “The One Where Underdog Gets Away” (the group’s first) and “The One with the Rumor,” featuring Brad Pitt, from Seasons 1 and 8.

Ross isn’t exactly a fashion icon, but that cable knit should be on everyone’s holiday wishlist.

Rachel’s silk camisole and sheer top ensemble is pretty good. Here it is à la Bella Hadid.

The leather vest!

4) “The Homecoming” from Season 1 of The O.C., featuring iconic teen couple Seth and Summer.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
