I am a firm believer that eyeliner can make a whole look without any other makeup required, other than liner’s best friend, the ever essential mascara, but I digress. Liner is my favorite makeup product, and basically the only thing you will find in my makeup bag, because you can do hundreds of different styles with one liner! Here are my tips on how to mix up your liner game this fall:
Trade out your trusty black for a deep green, purple, brown or (my personal favorite) blue. I get it, you can never go wrong with black. But there are so many other colors that are still dark and standard enough to be dramatic and not be noticeably different while still giving your eyes a different look.
Go sparkly! People may shy away from sparkly on your typical day but fall is a good time to try something a bit more noticeable. As you bundle up under scarfs and hats your eyes will POP! If your new to shimmer start with the basics: gold and silver, but if you feeling more adventurous try other jewel tones (amber, purple, emerald, teal, etc.)

Go for a smudgy cat eye (above)! I am a huge fan of a subtle cat eye and this makes it even better. It adds a layer of mystery and allure. Added bonus: since smudged is the goal, accuracy is not as important.
Go ombré! Try mixing your go to black with a deep color, jewel tone, or even white at the inner corner. This style looks with For an easier blended transition from one color to the next liquid is best (as seen in this tutorial). The wetness allows you to blend the colors together with a brush while they are still drying. If you are more practiced with your pencil you can get a good blend that way too as seen in this tutorial. Or just connect the two colors without blending to be more intense.
