olitical opinions aside, I think we can all agree that the most stylish presidential candidate in this year’s election is none other than Hillary Rodham Clinton. Our favorite former first lady-turned first female presidential candidate, Clinton is no stranger to the spotlight, although she’s more likely to be in The New York Times than Vogue. While her current go-to outfit is the pantsuit, she has stood out in years past in several stunning ensembles. In honor of election season, here are seven times HRC’s outfits were just as inspirational her political prowess.
Even though most of these looks are from the 90s, they are still relevant today. Simple yet unique, Clinton looks modern in a white button down and striped pants. HRC knows that if you want to stand out in a sea of campaign posters, an all-white outfit is the way to go. Lastly, Clinton wore the cold-shoulder trend before it was cool. Who knew she was such a trendsetter?
Wearing a color we don’t normally see her in, Clinton sports an entirely pink look, which is surprisingly chic. Clearly, a colored coat can brighten up even the dreariest of winter days, and it can stand on its own with minimal accessories. Also, we’re definitely on board with this maxi shirtdress situation, which is perfectly summery and put-together at the same time. And if a pink sweater-shirt combo will make us this happy, we’re all about it.
As Hillary Clinton proves, simple outfits in bright colors or patterns are all you need to have timeless style. We hope these outfits provide even more reasons to admire Hillary Clinton.
