Spring Trend: Colored Jeans

Winter has turned into spring, hot beverages have been replaced with iced mochas, and a spectrum of bright hues colors Locust daily. With the muted tones of winter now exchanged with the vibrant colors of spring, it’s safe to say that a pair of colored jeans won’t be out of place.

However, while most women embrace this trend, men have met it with notable diffidence. Understandably, one wears whatever he or she feels comfortable in, and not just in a physical sense. Fashion, after all, is a social art as much as it is a creative one. But being adventurous can certainly pay off. Purchasing something new and exciting might lead to interesting outfits and, who knows, you might even find your new pair of favorite jeans!

If you’re feel up to the task and have an open-mind, purchasing a pair of brightly colored jeans such as the ones above is a step in the right direction! These colors are certain to grab a couple of glances while you show them off on campus. However, it should be noted that if you do intend to wear flashy pants or jeans, a neutral colored top is strongly recommended as you run the risk of color overload. In addition, wearing any sort of intricately patterned shirt is also discouraged. But, at the end of the day, you are the final arbiter of what you enjoy to wear and it is up to you to make the decision.

If you would like to only test the water, purchasing a pair of darker tone jeans would be the best option. The largest benefit to to this is that you will find it easier to pair a larger variety of shirts compared to creating possible combinations with more brightly colored jeans.
