On Target Holiday Shopping

Make your wish list, and be sure to check it twice, because the complete look book for the Target Collaboration with Neiman Marcus has launched online!  After much speculation about how designs from 24 of the CFDA’s biggest names would translate to fast fashion on the cheap, it is time to take a close look at some of the best pieces.

Overall, the collection is filled with novelty gifts and fun items you didn’t even know you needed.  While the prices are a bit higher than what you would normally find at Target, they are low in comparison to what these designer goods would cost at Neiman Marcus.

1. Alice + Olivia Floral Bike

The most extravagant item in the collection is the fabulously floral bike from Alice + Olivia.  This $499.99 bike is dripping with the feminine aesthetic of Penn alumna Stacy Bendet’s brand.  Just image how chic you would look riding down Locust Walk on a bike that has its own florescent green belt around its basket.

2. Tory Burch Lunchbox and Thermos

Speaking of Penn alumnae, Tory Burch’s printed lunchbox ($19.99) and thermos ($24.99) are sure to make bringing lunch from home a fashionable affair.

3. Thom Browne Piped Wool Blazer

Channel your inner Blair Waldorf with Thom Browne’s perfectly preppy piped wool blazer.  Extra bonus, this item also comes in a men’s cut for the cutest his ($149.99) and her ($129.99) holiday party looks.

4. Judith Leiber Compact Mirror

Need a gift for that friend who has everything?  Look no further than Judith Leiber’s sparkly compact mirrors ($59.99 each).  They come in a range of patterns including zebra.  This looks a lot better than it sounds – keep in mind Leiber has managed to pull off a crystal cake slice minaudière.  The brand can do no wrong!

5. Jason Wu Holiday Frock

The biggest disappointment is the fact that Jason Wu’s darling little polka dot printed dress ($59.99) won’t come in grown-up sizes.  But it is the sweetest holiday frock for (size 12M-5T) princesses.

6. Marchesa Party Dress

Petite fashionistas can try to squeeze into the gorgeous Marchesa designed children’s white party dress ($99.99).  The delicate, hand-beaded details and airy angelic shape make this dress an almost exact replica of a beloved Spring 2011 Marchesa dress worn on the red carpet by both Olivia Palermo and Elle Fanning.

7. Lela Rose Watercolor Dress

But not everything in the collection is pint-sized. Lela Rose contributes a lovely twist-front belted, watercolor print dress ($99.99) and a black and beige lace-cut silk shell ($69.99).

8. Marc Jacobs Metallic Pouch and Scarf

If you are on the hunt for that perfect accessory, the Marc Jacobs designed scarf is simple and chic ($69.99). As are his metallic pouches ($69.99 each), which can be used as wallets or for makeup storage.

The collaboration truly has something for everyone and will help make sure that your holiday gifts are right on Target.  For the complete look book with prices, visit NeimanMarcus.com.

Not enough clothing to satisfy your designer cravings?  Have no fear Prabal Gurung for Target will be here!  On February 10th, the designer known for outfitting Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton will launch an 80-piece collection of clothing, shoes, and accessories just in time for Valentine’s Day.
