Pink Pride, Part 1: From Blouses to Salads, Give to Breast Cancer Awareness in Style

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To show our pink pride, we’ve rounded up a list of our favorite opportunities to do your part to fight breast cancer, in style.

1. Tory Burch is working with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, a foundation dedicated to finding a prevention and cure for breast cancer in our lifetime, to raise money for the cause through the sale of this white, bejeweled tee. ULTA will donate 100% of profits to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Food

1. Get your cookies for a cause this week by heading to Insomnia (or ordering them in late at night). They will be donating a portion of their online and in-store profits to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer Fund, committed to ending breast cancer through research and awareness. Also, 10 percent of proceeds on October 16 will go to Penn Relay for Life.

2. On October 26, swing by Sweetgreen from 4-9pm when 20% of profits – from food and gift cards – will go to the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation, a non-profit organization which supports breast cancer education and awareness.

3. Don’t forget to stock up on 5-hour Energy’s Pink Lemonade flavor for midterms this month. In 2012, they will be donating at least $75,000 of the profits to the Avon Foundation for Women Breast Cancer Crusade, a foundation dedicated to preventing, treating and eradicating the disease.

Opportunities to fight breast cancer abound year-round, but don’t wait to get started. Make a difference this month with all these ways to show off your pink pride. Tomorrow, we’ll round up our favorite beauty products to benefit the cause.
