Men’s Swimwear Just Got Better

Two New Swimwear Designers for S/S 12

For Spring/Summer 2012, MRPORTER.COM introduces us to two new swimwear designers, Pink House Mustique and Robinson Les Bains

Having worked at prestigious fashion houses including Hermès, Balenciaga and Yves Saint Laurent before he established his own swimwear line, Robinson Les Bains, in 2007, Mr Christophe Vérot is well versed in luxury. Such experiences are evident in the high-quality fabrics, considered cuts and superior finishing of the shorts bearing the Robinson Les Bains label. In this MR PORTER Video Manual, the founder and designer talks us through how to choose the perfect pair of swimming shorts. “If you’re going to Ibiza,” Mr Vérot tells us, “you can wear something short and colourful, but if you’re going to a family pool party then you should wear something longer and more discreet.” Hear more of his tips by watching the film above and by visiting MRPORTER.COM.

Pink House Mustique

Based on the most exclusive of the Caribbean islands, Pink House Mustique’s beachwear comes in uplifting patterns and sun-washed shades that bring to mind the island’s turquoise sea and white sands, while the fast-drying material ensures they are practical as well as stylish.

Robinson Les Bains

Robinson Les Bains specialises in retro-inspired swimwear, updated with a distinctly French sensibility. The cropped shorts, which bring to mind 1970s Côte d’Azur style, are trim and neat, without being overly revealing.
