The crop top: It’s a trend that has made a long journey from 80’s athletic attire to risque teeny-bopper fashion craze. Now, it is finally becoming part of the chic and sophisticated runway looks. For Spring / Summer 2012, designers have been playing-up the crop top, pairing them with high-waisted skirts, shorts and pants to give off a polished yet playful look.
Several celebrities have been seen rocking this trend in various ways, from strutting down red carpets to running down the beach. All I can say is that I definitely approve of this look; it has become uber popular and just in time for us to all spice up our summer wardrobes.
This is a trend to try not just at music festivals or for a crazy night out. Feeling too shy to bare a plain mid-drift? Pair your crop top outfit with a blazer or a vest for a more modest look.
