Pantone llc, beauty’s leading authority on color, declared Tangerine Tango (Pantone 17-1463) 2012’s Color of the Year. Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of Pantone Color Institute described the color as “reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset” and combining the “vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow.” This vibrant, peachy color exudes summer vibes and the carefree feel of vacation just around the corner. The bright shade has been popping up everywhere this season. However, even though this color caught our eye, we still hesitate to have it touch any spot on our face. Naturally, leading beauty experts over at Sephora have decided to form a partnership with Pantone to tackle this challenge. After all, no color can’t be worked with!
Two Pantone and Sephora Pop-Up Shops were set up in the busy streets of Manhattan and Los Angeles, allowing customers to test the new products for a week. Recently, Sephora has launched in their nationwide stores the limited-edition set of 14 different beauty products incorporating this playful shade as well as harmonizing tones.
