If you missed Stacey Bendet at the 2011 Wharton Retail Conference, don’t fret! We’ve got the scoop on the beauty behind Alice + Olivia.
Bendet (a.k.a. “Staceypants”) started designing with pants, but not just any pants. At a time when blue jeans were all the rage, Stacey stood out with bold colors, patterns, and bell-bottoms. Her inspiration? Upholstery! So Sound of Music!
After pants, the quirky designer branched out to create the women’s line we all know and love. Her line is still rocking bold colors and fun prints for feminine and eccentric girls like herself. You never know what she’ll wear next, but you always know it’s going to be fabulous. Check out how she modernizes classic fashions like the flapper dress on the Alice + Olivia website.
