As the prevelance of online blogs continues to grow there seems to be multiple blogs for every possible interest: cars, shoes, food carts, even decorative pillows. When I am not overwhelmed by life as a Penn student I dedicate my time to baking. (Sadly there has been a lack of spare time and subsequently a lack of warm scones and dainty cupcakes in my kitchen.) However, my baking sabbatical has not made me forget about the ultimate baking blog which remains in my bookmarked favorites. “Buns in My Oven” initially caught my attention because of its clever name and tagline “…and not the baby kind.” Alas, the title alone is not what instigates my unrelenting dedication. This amateur baker categorizes her recipes not only by meal type, or sweet verse savory, but by inregidient including my guiltiest pleasures: bacon, nutella, and “cheesy.” These categories enable me to find recipes that will satisfy my craving of the moment. Another unique aspect of this blog are her photographs accompanying each recipe which are as lust worthy as a pair of Louboutin platform stilettos. If you don’t believe me check it out!
