Restaurant Review: City Tap House

City Taphouse Review

By Angela Santurbano

City Taphouse is one of the few restaurants close to campus that has an urban and relaxed vibe that makes you feel like you just arrived in Center City. Located on the 2nd floor of the Radian, it has a sleek architecture with a long double-sided bar and a large metal door. The space can seat up to 120 people so invite as many friends as you can. In terms of beverage specialty, City Taphouse has a variety of beer with more than 60 different taps for those who would like to try something new. The menu has a spin on American cuisine with dishes like East Coast Calamari and Beer-battered fish and chips that will keep you satisfied. However, if you’re looking to go out but still eat healthy, City Taphouse also features delicious healthy food such as a spinach salad that comes with fresh berries and autumn-spiced pumpkin seeds as well as a sesame-crusted eggplant stack with wild mushrooms and tofu chutney. It is also a great place to invite your friends on a Saturday for brunch and when the weather gets better, to sit outside in the big outdoor area by the firepits. If you ever decide on a cool restaurant close by, City Taphouse is your place.
