Taxi Driver: Lolita-esque seductress

It’s virtually impossible to watch Taxi Driver without feeling at least a bit guilty for admiring the stylistic choices of 12-year-old prostitute Iris, played by young Jodie Foster. Her Lolita-esque appeal is enhanced by colorful details (look at those huge red flowers on her blouse), shorts and a a frivolous character. Add to that the charm of a young girl looking for someone to protect her (plus, shoes like these), and there you have a girl for who’s sake John Hinckley almost assassinated Ronald Reagan in 1981.
