For all of those who haven’t been keeping up with the national pageant circuit, a Penn alum was named the next Miss Pennsylvania! Amber-Joi Watkins, class of ’07, was officially crowned last Sunday. Hailing from our very own Philadelphia, she will move on to compete in the Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas next May. Pennsylvania has only had one win in the past (all the way back in 1971), and 26-year-old Watkins is our chance at victory this time around.
