This Sunday, November 14, Penn’s Civic House will be kicking off Anti-Poverty Action Week with the “Style Your Sole” Event. Each participant ordered a pair of TOMS shoes (an evergrowing trend on Penn’s campus) through Civic House and will get the chance to decorate them while learning about how they can make a bigger impact on the community through various social impact organizations.
TOMS Shoes is centered around its “one for one” motto. For every pair of shoes you purchase, one pair of shoes is donated to a child in need of footwear. As of this year, TOMS has donated over one million pairs of shoes to underprivileged children around the world. On top of that, they’re stylish. TOMS shoes have been sweeping Penn’s campus and the company is often coming out with new, unique styles to satisfy any shoe lover, ranging from neutral solids to eccentric glitter to crazy patterns and even corduroy textured flats. The shoes range from $44-$54 so make sure to jump on this fashion trend!
