Wonder why you’ve been doing hundreds of crunches but still don’t have a six-pack? The fact is if you have a high percentage of body fat, your abs will be covered with – that’s right – fat. And doing ab exercises alone will not get rid of that belly fat! Spot-training does not work. In order to get a toned tummy, you have to first reduce your overall body fat, meaning you need to do plenty of cardio, along with strength training for best results. Aim for at least 30 minutes of heart-pumping cardio (running, biking, swimming, etc) 3-4 times a week followed with three sets of 15-20 sit-ups, side crunches and leg lifts. After that, those previously nonexistent abs will finally begin to emerge!
