While shopping in Petulia’s Folly, you are transported into an ideal, picturesque world where everything and everyone breathes fashion. From the clothes to pillows to books to tea sets, this store accomplishes exactly what it intended: to create and sell not just clothes, but a lifestyle. The store, opened in 2001, was one of the first venues in Philadelphia modeled after quaint New York boutiques. If you are a shopper searching for a unique, one-of-a-kind outfit, this is the place to start. Carrying designers such as Catherine Malandrino, Philip Lim, and Paul and Joe, you don’t have to look hard to find something. Petulia’s also feature handmade stuffed animals by Tamar Mogendorff. Although the clothes are pretty pricey (one of the least expensive items, an Alexander Wang black cami dress, is priced at $78.00), the home goods and decorations can definitely fit into your budget.
