Running from Frostbite

The temperatures may be dropping, but that’s no reason to stop running! With the right gear, there’s no need to wait for spring to hit the Schuylkill. Here’s a list of must- haves that will have you running out the door (literally) to get your daily jog on:
1.    Tavo Gloves – There is nothing more annoying than having to expose your hands to the cold when using your iPod on a run. These gloves will not only keep you warm, but with their silicone grips and electrically conductive channels, you can easily handle your iPod without risking frostbite.

2. Halo Headband – Keeping your ears warm while braving the cold is key, and these headbands do the trick. With a sleek black color and sweat block technology, there is no better headband to protect your head. They also fit well under helmets for those winter riders.

3. Nike Laminate Leggings – These leggings are super comfortable and stay in place, so you won’t be stopping constantly to make adjustments. They are made of dri-fit fabric to wick away sweat, and have a zip pocket for storing small items like keys.

4. Under Armour Women’s Cold Gear – Your usual Hanes t-shirt won’t cut it in the cold, and that’s where this Under Armour zip comes into play. It’s available in three different colors and provides the moisture and temperature control that will carry you to the finish line.

5. Nike + Sportsband
This sportsband adds a bit of technology to the most basic sport there is. This band tracks distance, pace, time, and calories burned. It also doubles as a watch, so this is the only bling you need to be sporting while running this winter.
